An extended family photo session is one session with multiple families, both big and small, and a wonderful way to document special moments with loved ones! These sessions are so special, and run just a bit differently than a regular family session. I work closely with each of my clients to ensure everything will go smoothly. Every family who books with me is supplied with a client guide in preparation for our upcoming session. This is to help you determine a beautiful color palette for your entire families wardrobe, along with other helpful information! This will ensure timeless and beautiful photos to be enjoyed on the walls of your home.
In addition, we create a “must-have” shot list, this includes the big group photo (usually the most sought after shot). From there, we move onto the different combinations of poses and shots. Ideas include: grandparents with grandkids, all the girls or boys together, all the siblings, etc (the list can be endless and tailored to your exact needs). Another important part of this session is getting individual family portraits of each family in the session, as well as headshots of the kids (and anyone else who wants one!). This is what makes these extended family sessions such an amazing idea and experience.
